Hello book fam! I haven’t actually posted a blog update here in quite a while, but I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to.
This month, I’ll be going on vacation with my family. When I return, I’ll nail down a date for the first book of my next upcoming series, which will be an MM paranormal romance series. Each book will contain a different couple, but there will be an overarching plot that carries on through the series, and each couple will return in the next book as supporting characters. Right now I’m thinking it’ll be 9 books in total (whew, that seems like a lot). I’m currently editing book 1 and writing the first draft of book 5, so I’ve got a bit of a buffer on this one.
Because the ADHD is real with this one, I’m also working on the Shadowed Hearts book 3. I don’t know how long this one will be yet. It may wind up being more of a novella. It’s taken a bit of a backseat and is more of a passion project at this point. Something I work on when I need a break from the others.
And finally, the third Magic and Moonlight book is getting a full rewrite. If you read the old version on Fictionpress back in the day, you might remember what happens. The truth is, looking back on that one 10-12ish years later, I don’t like the ending. I think I can do it justice now. However, it also means it’s going to be a lot different, and it’ll change future books. In fact, I’ve been seriously debating making it the final book of the series. If you’re a FP reader, you know the series carried on into the pack’s college days, but I never finished those. If I change book 3 to be what I want it to be, it may change what happens in their later years, which would nullify the college books. It’s all a little up in the air right now, basically. Just know: I’ve started it, I’m working on it, and it’s looking like sometime next year before it’s finished, because I want to be absolutely sure I’m writing this one the way it should be done. I’m really sorry if you were a fan of the old version, but hopefully you’ll see the changes I’ve made and understand why I made them. If you’re a new reader, you’ve got nothing to worry about.
